LeAnn Rutledge, Executive Director
LeAnn has served in the nonprofit world for over fourteen years in the capacities of executive leadership, volunteer management, outreach and engagement, grant writing, grant research, grant management, grant administration, board engagement, and others. Over the last seven years, she has provided support to 15 soil and water conservation district boards as a liaison. Serving conservation districts is her passion.
As an informal educator, she has taught environmental stewardship and agriculture education lessons to more than 8,000 children, youth, and adults. In 2018, she created a Conservation Education Collaborative program with local libraries with the purpose of increasing agricultural and environmental literacy in children up to five years old. LeAnn provides her expertise, serving as a volunteer board member, for other nonprofit organizations who advocate for K-5th grade outdoor learning and economic development opportunities for small farmers.
LeAnn is a North Carolina A&T State University alumna holding a bachelor's degree in Earth and Environmental Sciences and also a Waste Management certificate from the institution. She earned numerous environmental educator certifications during her time here in Georgia. Hampton, Virginia is the place she calls home.
